1. About these terms

These terms and conditions (“terms”) apply to your use of Science Academy at sciencedemy.com, including its simulations, guided tours, quizzes and articles (together, “the site”). “We”, “us” and “our” mean Science Academy. If you don’t agree with these terms, please don’t use the site.

2. The service

The site offers free interactive science simulations and articles for learning. It runs in your browser and needs no account. We may change, add, suspend or remove any part of it at any time without notice.

3. Educational use only, not real chemistry

The simulations are simplified models made for learning. Reactions, colours, temperatures, energies and other numbers are approximations and may differ from real experiments. Never use the site as instructions for real experiments. Real chemicals, heating and nuclear processes can be dangerous: only do practical work under qualified supervision with proper safety equipment.

4. Children and young users

The site is designed for learners of all ages, including school students. Users under 13 (or the minimum age for online services in their country) should use it with the permission of a parent, guardian or teacher. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children; see our Privacy Policy.

5. What you may do

• Use the site for personal learning, teaching and in classrooms, including showing it on a screen.
• Save and share the pictures and PDFs you create, for example in homework, worksheets or presentations.
• Link to any page of the site.

6. Acceptable use: what you may not do

• Copy, republish, sell or redistribute the site, its code, simulations or articles as your own, or frame it on another site as if it were yours.
• Try to break, overload, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting.
• Use automated tools to download large parts of the site, other than normal search-engine crawling.
• Interfere with advertisements shown on the site, or click them artificially (for example with bots or by repeated clicking).
• Use the site for anything unlawful, harmful or misleading.

7. Intellectual property

The site’s design, software, simulations, illustrations, text and articles belong to Science Academy or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. All rights reserved, except for the uses allowed in section 5. Scientific facts belong to everyone; names of scientists, elements and organisations are used only to teach. Trademarks belong to their owners.

8. Advertising

The site is free because it may show advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. Ads are provided by third parties; we don’t endorse the products or services advertised and aren’t responsible for advertisers’ websites. How advertising uses cookies, and how to opt out of personalised ads, is explained in our Privacy Policy.

9. Accuracy and availability

We work hard to keep the science correct, but we can’t promise the site is error-free, complete or always available. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at support@sciencedemy.com.

10. Links to other websites

Articles and ads may link to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

11. Limits of responsibility

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using or being unable to use the site, or from relying on its content, including loss of saves stored in your browser. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

12. Ending access

We may block or limit access to the site for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses the site.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The new version applies from the “last updated” date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
